Admissions

We welcome you to arrange a time for a tour, please call our school secretary to set up an appointment (510-865-4536). At that time we will supply you with an information packet which includes the application form. After the tour, you and your child can come and observe a classroom in session.

Re-enrollment forms for currently enrolled students go out in mid-February. Enrollment for new students begins in mid-March.

Each child who enrolls in our school is put on a two week probation period starting from the first day of attendance. The two weeks will determine whether the school is the right fit for your child. If your child is having difficulties adjusting socially or academically during the two weeks (or after) your child's teacher and/or the administrators will meet with you. At that time, we will reach a mutual agreement in finding a solution to assist with the child's transition. If this cannot be done, a mutual decision may be reached to terminate enrollment.

During the first six weeks of their enrollment your child is also undergoing an assessment process to determine the child's academic, emotional, social and physical developmental stage. At the end of six weeks there is a scheduled parent and teacher conference to discuss and share the observations. There are 3 parent and teacher conferences in the academic year.
